A small herd of bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis) silhouetted against a blue spring sky. The natural range of Ovis canadensis was formerly in the Rocky Mountains from southern Canada to Colorado, but is now reduced to areas where small bands are protected by inaccessible habitat or by refuges. This group is located in the Lake Chelan Basin of Washington State and roams across Washington State Fish and Game land, Bureau of Land Management lands and Department of Natural Resource land.
